Morgantown Mosaic Neighborhood Engagement Grants

The Morgantown Mosaic is a neighborhood mini-grant program that supports resident-led projects throughout the City of Morgantown. Grants help neighbors come together to improve shared spaces, celebrate local identity, and strengthen connections between residents.


Why it Exists, Where the Idea Came From, and How it Evolved Into a City Program.

Morgantown Mosaic was created to meet a growing interest in small, neighborhood-level projects that foster local identity, pride, and community connection. The concept was originated by City Council members who envisioned a way to empower residents to shape their neighborhoods. Building on that idea, City staff collaborated to develop and refine the concept into a structured grant program, one that makes it easy for residents to bring forward projects that enhance their blocks, shared spaces, and overall quality of life.

Applications received less than three weeks prior to an NCC meeting will be reviewed during the next funding cycle.

Application Notice: Applications for this program will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the first year. The Review Committee will meet quarterly, or more frequently as applications are received, to evaluate submissions and issue funding decisions.

As future fiscal year budgets are finalized, application deadlines may be adjusted. Any updates to submission timelines will be announced in advance to ensure applicants have adequate time to prepare.
