News Release Logo v2

At approximately 3:18 a.m., on Oct. 10, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 900 block of Snider Street. When officers arrived, they were able to locate several shell casings and determine that the people responsible for the discharge of the weapon were located inside of 917 Snider Street.

Officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant for the premises. Following the execution of the search warrant, officers were able to recover a 9mm semi-automatic pistol along with live ammunition and additional spent casings. During the search, officers found a bullet hole that indicated that a round was fired through a closet wall and an interior wall, and lodged into a recliner inside of the residence.

As a result of the investigation, Blake WILLIAMS, 21 years of age of Morgantown, was arrested without incident and charged with Wanton Endangerment. WILLIAMS is currently awaiting arraignment.
