On Sept. 30, the FBI published its 2018 Uniform Crime Report, which shows Morgantown is among the safest cities in the state.
Across the board, Morgantown’s crime rate is below the state and national average.
“These numbers reflect the vigilance of both the citizens of the community and the Morgantown Police Department, and their persistence of keeping crime down and the community safe,” said Police Chief Ed Preston. “It’s something we should all be proud of.”
