At approximately 8:04 a.m., on Sept. 11, 2019, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in progress on the 400 block of Dallas Street. Officers arrived on scene, found that entry was gained into the residence by an unlocked door and that the tenant was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect prior to officers arriving. The suspect was reported to have fled on foot from the area.
Responding officers were able to locate the suspect in a wooded area a few blocks from the residence and found the suspect with multiple items of property reported stolen during the burglary. The tenant was not injured.
Aireus Jahrone BONANO, 26 years of age of Morgantown, was arrested and charged with Burglary and booked into the North Central Regional Jail pending arraignment.
