MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – The City of Morgantown has partnered with ClearGov, a leading provider of transparency, budgeting and forecasting solutions for local governments, to launch a transparency center.
This new transparency center allows residents to see visual breakdowns of the city’s finances, as well as insights into the city’s demographics and population. To access the city’s ClearGov profile, visit morgantownwv.gov and click on the “Transparency Center” banner.
“As a local government, we are looking forward to creating more transparency between the city and its residents,” said City Manager Paul Brake. “I think it is important that citizens are able to easily access this information and see exactly where the city’s revenue is coming from and how the money is being spent.”
ClearGov allows for the city to share financial data through easy to understand transparency dashboards, which are made available to the public for free.The city’s ClearGov website houses information such as recent financial transactions and the city’s revenue and expenditures, which can be broken down by different departments. Users are also able to view financial information from previous years and compare data.
