[ARCHIVED] Downtown Street Closures for the West Virginia Birthday Party

The Morgantown Police Department will close the following downtown streets to vehicle traffic on Saturday, June 22, 2019 for the West Virginia Birthday Party:

  • High Street from Walnut Street to Pleasant Street from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.;
  • Left lane of High Street from Wall Street to Walnut Street from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.; and
  • Chancery Row and Court Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Parking will be restricted on the left side of High Street from Wall Street to Walnut Street. While downtown street parking will have some restrictions, there will be ample parking in the two downtown parking garages.

The West Virginia Birthday Party event takes place from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on High Street. The street closures and parking restrictions are to allow vendors and performers time to prepare for the event.
