At 1:05 p.m. the Morgantown Fire Department was notified of a reported structure fire at 1280 Sabraton Avenue.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire without any difficulties. There was one occupant in the building at the time of the fire, but they were able to get out. The individual was treated on scene for smoke inhalation but refused transportation to the hospital for further treatment. There were no other injuries reported.
Upon initial investigation, it appears that the fire started in the rear of the building. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Investigation of the fire is being handled by the Fire Marshal’s Division of the Morgantown Fire Department. The fire caused an estimated $120,000 in damages to the building.
