City Manager Paul Brake was recently selected by the International City/County Management Association as a scholarship recipient for the prestigious 2019 Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program.
The three-week program allows participants to engage with other public administration executives in team efforts to resolve tough issues. The program is meant to help seasoned public officials develop new ideas for addressing public policy issues and to explore new ways to foster the relationship between citizens and their government. Brake will attend the program this summer.
“I am incredibly excited to be one of the recipients of this scholarship,” said Morgantown City Manager Paul Brake. “I am also extremely grateful for the opportunity to attend such a prestigious program. I hope to obtain a new perspective from the faculty, materials and interacting with other colleagues. One of the great things about this program is that I will be able to immediately apply the knowledge I gain to help benefit Morgantown and its residents.”
The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University is ranked as one of the nation’s best graduate schools for public affairs.
