MorgantownPoliceLogo

The Morgantown Police Department is investigating after a citizen flagged down an officer and reported that she saw two men covered in blood and bleeding from their heads. She attempted to help them and they told her not to call the police.

The officer the citizen flagged down later spotted the two men walking away from the area near Prospect Street. Both of the subjects were clearly injured. When the officer approached them one of them reported that he had been stabbed. Additional Units, as well as West Virginia University Police, EMS, and fire personnel, were called to the scene. Fire and EMS provided emergency medical treatment and the victims were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers continued the investigation and determined that the incident started inside of 660 North High Street. The victims were uncooperative with officers. Police also found unpackaged marijuana in one of the victim's pant pockets.

WVU Police Department personnel along with Morgantown officers secured the building at 660 North High Street and obtained a search warrant for the property. The search warrant was served and officers remained on scene until approximately 11:00 p.m.
