A possible solicitation scam has been reported to the Morgantown Police Department. The scam involves the solicitation of businesses to provide sponsorship through the purchase of t-shirts as well as banners in support of the Morgantown High School cheerleaders. School officials have advised that this is not a legitimate school fundraiser.
The Morgantown Police Department advises anyone receiving solicitation requests of any kind to verify the legitimacy of the business making the solicitation prior to making any financial commitment.
