[ARCHIVED] Suspect Arrested for Malicious Wounding

At approximately 10:38 p.m. on October 29, 2018, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing on Brockway Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and found a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was receiving first aid from a concerned citizen.

The victim was able to provide a description of suspects to the officers at the scene. Officers located the suspects a few minutes later on Wilson Avenue where they were detained. The attacker was positively identified, and the suspected knife used in the stabbing was recovered as well.

Detectives were summoned to assist in the investigation. The suspect was identified as Caleb Christian LUZIER, 22 years of age of Dandelion Drive in Morgantown. LUZIER was charged with Malicious Wounding and is currently awaiting arraignment.

The victim was transported and admitted to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he is in stable condition and undergoing treatment for multiple stab wounds. It is unclear at this time what led to this altercation. The case is still pending investigation by detectives and anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Morgantown Police Department Detective Division.
