[ARCHIVED] Morgantown Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

At approximately 3 a.m. on April 13, 2018, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of a potential burglary in progress at 506 Locust Ave. Initial reports said that a suspect had broken a window to the residence and shortly thereafter the power to the residence went off. Officers arrived on scene and found a broken window and spoke with witnesses that reported the incident.

Officers found the suspect inside of the residence and found additional damage to the electrical box for the residence. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and charged with Burglary. The residence was unoccupied at the time of this incident.

Dakota RINKER, 22 years of age of Moorefield, West Virginia was charged with Nighttime Burglary and is currently pending arraignment.
