  1. Morgantown Art Association’s 63rd annual juried fine art show “Exhibit 60”

    Morgantown Art Association’s 63rd annual juried fine art show “Exhibit 60” will be on display in the MAA Gallery at the Mountaineer Mall on the Greenbag Road. The exhibit is open for free public viewing from April 13th- June 2nd during business hours, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m. Mask wearing and social distancing is required. Take-in for this show is Wednesday, April 7th from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Artists must be at least 18 years of age and living within a 60-mile radius of Morgantown, WV. Approx. $1000 worth of prizes will be awarded. Info including rules, fees, etc. can be found on the Exhibit 60 Prospectus at the MAA website, or call 304-291- 5900. The show will be judged by Mick McAndrews, who will be presenting a watercolor workshop at the MAA Gallery from April 8th – 11th. McAndrews’ award-winning paintings strive to capture the mood and atmosphere of a subject.

  2. Touch the Earth Festival

    April 17, 2021, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Marilla Park

    In honor of Earth Day, the Mon Valley Green Space Coalition (MVGSC) and the West Virginia Land Trust (WVLT) will host a “Touch the Earth Festival” from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 17 at the pavilion in Marilla Park. The event is free and open to the public. Other organizations, including Friends of Deckers Creek, the Mon River Trails Conservancy, Recycle Right Morgantown, the Mon chapter of the Sierra Club, and members of Morgantown’s Green Team, will also participate in the event.
