Public Asked to Assist in Search for Missing Morgantown Resident

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Morgantown Police Department (MPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 20-year-old Michael Bogroff, who is believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis.

According to information provided to MPD, Bogroff left his family’s home in Morgantown overnight on Jan. 23, 2026, and was traveling in a blue Toyota Sienna minivan with West Virginia registration 34141.

Bogroff is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and approximately 155 pounds. He has strawberry blonde hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts.

Anyone who sees Bogroff or the vehicle he is driving is urged to call 911 or contact their local law enforcement agency.
