Morgantown Police Arrest Six for Trespassing
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Morgantown Police responded to a report of individuals blocking access within a private building located at 48 Donley St.
Upon arrival, officers observed a group of approximately 15 individuals obstructing a hallway and entryway inside the building. The property manager on-site requested that the individuals leave the premises.
While a portion of the group complied and exited the building voluntarily, several individuals refused to leave or coordinate peacefully with authorities. As a result, six individuals were arrested and charged with trespassing.
The City of Morgantown and the Morgantown Police Department recognize and support the right of individuals to protest peacefully. All demonstrations must be conducted in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
