MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - A 78-year-old man was struck by a semi-truck at 8:26 a.m. today while walking against traffic signals, according to local authorities. The accident took place at the intersection of Pleasant St. and High St. 

The Morgantown Police Department (MPD) reported that after the pedestrian was struck, the truck driver rendered aid. MPD, Morgantown Fire Department and Monongalia EMS responded within minutes. The pedestrian was transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

No one has been charged, and the incident remains under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
