Ruby Summer Concert Series Nominated as Top Ten Best Outdoor Concert Series in the U.S.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Ruby Summer Concert Series has been chosen by the USA TODAY 10 BEST Readers' Choice Awards program as a nominee for Best Outdoor Concert Series.

Each year, USA Today selects a panel of travel experts, entertainment journalists, and industry professionals to carefully select nominees for the Readers' Choice Awards. Venues are evaluated based on various criteria, including the quality of performances, the overall concert experience, venue amenities, and community engagement. The panel’s selections highlight venues that consistently provide unforgettable entertainment and contribute positively to their local communities. Venues or community members are not allowed to self-nominate, which makes this selection process highly competitive.

“After being Best of Morgantown for three years and Best of Mountaineer Country, we are thrilled to be recognized on a national level,” said Vincent Kitch, Arts and Cultural Development Director. “This nomination is a testament to the great performers we present, the support of our incredible community, and the hard work of all our staff.”

This news comes after the recent announcement of the 2025 Ruby Summer Concert Series lineup, unveiled on Tuesday, April 1. The series will showcase a roster of nationally touring artists, including Hinder, Chase Matthew, Los Lonely Boys, Dasha, The Village People, Sierra Hull, Deana Carter, Hoobastank, Maddie & Tae, as well as tributes to Huey Lewis and Jimmy Buffet. The first concert of the season is scheduled for June 6th and will feature America's AC/DC Tribute- Thunderstruck. Opening acts each week are primarily from West Virgina and the tri-state region. The Ruby Summer Concert Series is presented by the City of Morgantown and the Hazel Ruby McQuain Charitable Trust along with a long list of grant makers and local businesses.

Voting begins on Monday, April 14th at noon and ends on Monday, May 12th at 11:59 a.m. The top 10 winners, as ranked by USA TODAY 10 BEST readers, will be announced on Wednesday, May 21st at noon.
