Morgantown Police Department Investigates Attack

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Morgantown Police Department is actively investigating an incident that occurred on November 1, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m. A male victim was assaulted in an unprovoked attack while seated in a doorway on Walnut Street.

According to reports, two male suspects approached the victim and initiated the attack. One suspect struck the victim with a blunt object resembling a baseball bat, while the second suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in the back. Following the assault, the suspects fled the scene on foot, heading toward Spruce Street, where they were last seen traveling south.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) units responded promptly to the scene, providing immediate treatment to the victim before transporting him to Ruby Memorial Hospital for further care.
