Ruby Summer Concert Series Announces 2024 Lineup


MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Ruby Amphitheater is pleased to announce this year’s performers for the 2024 Ruby Summer Concert Series. Set along the river at the Ruby Amphitheater in Hazel Ruby McQuain Park, 12 free concerts will span a variety of music genres and decades that are sure to appeal to all audiences. 

The first concert for this upcoming season is set for Friday, June 7th. Information regarding the opening acts for this season will be announced on the Ruby Amphitheater website and social media at a later date. 

 The lineup for the 2024 concert series is as follows:

  • AbbaMania June 7;
  • Ace Frehley June 14;
  • Sara Evans June 21;
  • Starship featuring Mickey Thomas June 28;
  • Resurrection- A Journey Tribute July 12;
  • Postmodern Jukebox July 19;
  • Hunter Girl July 26;
  • Purple Project- A Prince Tribute August 2;
  • Fastball August 9;
  • Steep Canyon Rangers August 16;
  • Diamond Rio August 23;
  • Plain White T’s August 30

The City of Morgantown Arts and Cultural Development Department brings a variety of live music to our downtown waterfront outdoor concert venue, where our community can gather by land or by boat to enjoy free concerts each week.

All concerts are free to attend with music starting at 7:00 p.m. The August 30 end of summer bash will conclude with fireworks after the show. 

“We are thrilled to be gearing up for the third season of the Ruby Summer Concert Series! Voted as Best Festival by the Best of Morgantown 2 years in a row, we are so grateful to all our sponsors and partners who make it possible,” said Vincent Kitch, Director of the Arts and Cultural Development Department, “The variety of concerts intentionally offer something for everyone, and we are excited to see thousands of people again this summer at the Ruby.”

Chairs can be set up after 5:00 p.m. on the day of each event, in order to keep the park, open for use during the day. Saving seats and chairs/blankets within the seating areas is not permitted. No tents, canopies or umbrellas are allowed – the venue asks that all attendees please be respectful of their neighbors. 

There will be food and beverage vendors and free face painting on-site. Public parking is available at Wharf Street Parking, Pleasant & Chestnut Street Parking, University Avenue & Chestnut Street, and Spruce Street Parking.

The Ruby Summer Concert Series is presented by the City of Morgantown and the Hazel Ruby McQuain Trust with support from numerous sponsors.
