Morgantown Police Respond to Homicide on Brockway Ave.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - At approximately 3:00 a.m. on November 20, 2023, the Morgantown Police Department was dispatched to the 500 block of Brockway Ave. after MECCA 911 received several calls reporting shots fired in the area. 

When officers arrived, they located an adult male lying in the street in the 500 Block of Brockway Ave. who was the victim of apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel responded, and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

The victim has been positively identified, but his name is not being released at this time as notification to the family is still pending.
