IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to renovations at Morgantown City Hall, all City Council meetings will be held in the Monongalia County Commission Chambers located on the second floor of the Monongalia County Building at 243 High Street.


Unfinished Business:
  • AUTHORIZATION OF A CONTRACT WITH REPUBLIC SERVICES FOR SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION
    Council will revisit the proposed contract between the City of Morgantown and Republic Services for trash and recycling services. 

    Passed 7-0. Second Reading.
New Business:
  • SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT TO CHANGE FUNDING FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
    Council will review an agreement between the City of Morgantown and the West Virginia Department of Transportation: Division of Highways to change funding for upcoming city improvements such as the Pleasant St. streetscape project and transportation alternatives.

    Passed 7-0.

  • SUPPORT FOR THE CITY OF MORGANTOWN'S REQUEST FOR GRANT FUNDING FOR UPCOMING AMPHITHEATER EVENTS
    This resolution would establish Council's support for the City of Morgantown's request to the Monongalia County Commission for a grant which would fund the Ruby Summer Concert Series and Independence Day Celebration at Ruby Amphitheater.

    Passed 7-0.

  • BID AWARD FOR WOODBURN PLAYGROUND SITE PREPARATION
    Council will consider approving a bid award to Parrotta Paving for the site preparation of the new Woodburn Playground. 

    Passed 7-0.

  • BID AWARD FOR WOODBURN PLAYGROUND INSTALL
    Council will consider approving a bid award to LATTAS for the installation of the new Woodburn Playground equipment. 

    Passed 7-0.

  • WEST VIRGINIA FAIRS & FESTIVALS PERMIT FOR WINE & JAZZ FESTIVAL
    Council will consider approving a West Virginia Fairs & Festivals Permit for the upcoming Wine & Jazz Festival at Ruby Amphitheater.

    Passed 7-0.
