Deadline Approaching to Apply for Civilian Police Review and Advisory Board
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Applications for the Civilian Police Review and Advisory Board are due to the City Clerk's office no later than 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31. Application forms can be obtained by calling the City Clerk's office at 304-284-7439 or by visiting the City of Morgantown's website.
The Civilian Police Review and Advisory Board was established in 2021 to allow citizen participation in reviewing Police Department policies, practices, and procedures. Members of the board will also promote the availability of data relating to police practices and procedures.
It is required that members of the Civilian Police Review and Advisory Board reside and/or work within city limits. Members must also be at least 18 years of age. Former employees of the Morgantown Police Department may not apply for the Civilian Police Review and Advisory Board. No member of the board shall be an immediate family member of the Morgantown city administration, city council, or Morgantown Police Department.
