City of Morgantown Administrative Offices to Close Monday, June 20, in observance of Juneteenth
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - City of Morgantown administrative offices will close Monday, June 20, following a proclamation from Gov. Jim Justice declaring Juneteenth a state holiday.
Juneteenth, celebrated annually on June 19, is a day marking the end of slavery in the United States. The city will observe the holiday on Monday, June 20. City offices will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21.
