High Street Reduced to Single Lane Beginning March 31 for Replacement of Metropolitan Theatre Roof

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The right lane of High Street and the adjacent sidewalk will be closed from Fayette Street to the end of the Metropolitan Theatre from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 31 and April 1. Crews from N.F. Mansuetto & Sons, Inc. will use a crane to deliver materials to replace the roof at the Metropolitan Theatre.

The bid for the Metropolitan Theatre roof replacement was awarded to N.F. Mansuetto & Sons, Inc. for $277,165. Funding for the project comes from an $80,000 grant from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History, and the remaining balance is being funded by the city’s Capital Escrow Fund.
