- RECOGNIZING THE IMPACT OF AVIATION ON OUR ECONOMY
Mayor Ron Dulaney will
proclaim the month of February 2021 as General Aviation Appreciation Month to recognize the impact it has on our state and local economy.
- REPAIRING PARKING INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE CITY
At the request of the Morgantown Parking Authority, this ordinance and accompanying resolution would authorize general repairs and an elevator replacement in the existing multilevel parking building located between University Avenue and Chestnut Street and replacement of a retaining wall in the existing surface parking lot located adjacent to 300 Spruce Street. The ordinance would authorize the issuance by the city of not more than $3.25 million in aggregate principal amount of Parking System Revenue Bonds, Series 2021 for the purpose of financing the design, acquisition, construction and equipping of this project. - ACCEPTING A $7.7 MILLION GRANT FROM THE FAA
The City Manager will seek approval to accept a
grant from the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program in the amount of $7,777,777. The funds will be used for the Phase 1 construction of the runway extension project at the Morgantown Municipal Airport.
- REVIEWING A DECISION TO DENY A ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT
The Morgantown Planning Commission is recommending that council accept its
recommendation to deny an application request for a zoning text amendment to allow Video Gaming and Lottery Establishments in the B-2 Service District.
