- CELEBRATING HUMAN RIGHTS DAY AND PRESENTING AWARDS
Mayor Ron Dulaney Jr. will
proclaim Dec. 10, 2020 as Human Rights Day in Morgantown to coincide with International Human Rights Day. The proclamation will be followed by the presentation of the annual
Human Rights Day Awards by Morgantown Human Rights Commission Chair Jacob Powers. The winner of the 2020 Individual Award is Mavis Grant-Lilley. The winner of the 2020 Group/Organization Award is First Presbyterian Church.
- CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE FOURTH WARD
At the recommendation of the Planning Commission, and at the request of the property owner, this
ordinance would reclassify 424 Evans Street from O1 (Office and Institutional) to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential). The purpose of the zoning map amendment is to create a “Dwelling, Two Family” land-use.
(First reading Nov. 4, 2020).- CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATIONS ON BURROUGHS STREET
At the direction of a court order, this
ordinance would amend the zoning classification of a portion of property owned by Calvary Baptist Church on Burroughs Street from R-1 Single Family to B-2 Service Business District.
- LEASING OFFICE SPACE AT THE AIRPORT TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT
At the recommendation of the Airport Director this
lease would be approved for the Monongalia County Health Department to lease approximately 1917 sq. ft. of office and garage space at the Morgantown Municipal Airport for $45,000 annually. The office space is located inside the former NOROP building near the terminal building. The lease is for two years with two two year renewal options.
