Killarney Drive Bridge Replacement Complete, Road Reopened to Traffic
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Replacement of the Killarney Drive bridge, located at the intersection of Dogwood Avenue and Killarney Drive, is complete and the road is now open to traffic.
Replacement of the bridge began on Feb. 5 and included demolition and removal of the existing failing bridge, installation of 35 linear feet of a 13-foot-by-6-foot precast box culvert, installation of a precast headwall, casting in place a headwall to tie into existing structures, and restoration of the surrounding roadway and property.
Funding for the project was shared equally between the City of Morgantown and the Morgantown Utility Board. The project was awarded to Green River Group at the cost of $282,215.
