Morgantown Police Investigate Shooting


Officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to Ruby Memorial Hospital due to a call of a gunshot wound at approximately 2:30 p.m. on July 2, 2020.

Upon arrival, officers found that the victim, a 19 year old male from Morgantown, had been shot in the chest once and sustained a non-life threatening injury. He was taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle and first responders were not notified. Officers were able to determine that the shooting occurred on Arlington Street. The incident is under investigation at this time.
