[ARCHIVED] Texas Felon Arrested and Charged with Multiple Offenses

On Jan. 3, 2018 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from the Morgantown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Price Street near the intersection of Wiles Street. The vehicle stopped was a silver Mercedes bearing Texas registration GJX-0178. Officers conducting the stop identified the driver as Isaiah Davis. During the initial contact with Davis a plastic bag containing marijuana was observed in plane view laying on the rear seat. During the stop, Davis attempted to flee in the vehicle but was unsuccessful. Davis was subdued, and a subsequent search of his vehicle yielded a substantial quantity of drugs as well as a firearm. Davis was charged with Possession with intent to deliver Marijuana, Heroin, Xanax and Ecstasy as well as a Felon in possession of a Firearm charge.
