The Morgantown Municipal Green Team invites kids from kindergarten to 5th grade in Monongalia County to create hand-made Earth Day posters in coordination with this year’s theme: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! The deadline for submission is April 17, 2020.
Be creative when making your posters! Motivate the residents of Morgantown to recycle, reduce packaging in purchases, and reuse items in different ways. How can we make the world cleaner?
Posters must be 8.5 by 11 inches. Young artists can use pencils, crayons, watercolor paint, markers, or construction paper when making their posters. Kids must email their name, grade, and contact information and attach their work as a PDF or JPG to morgantowngreenteam@gmail.com.
Winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22. Winners will be chosen from younger to older grades and will receive their awards at an online ceremony via Zoom with Mayor Kawecki and the Green Team. The winning drawings will be displayed at Morgantown City Hall, on the city website, and in the Green Team’s education materials.
