[ARCHIVED] Planning Commission to Hold Workshop

Downtown Morgantown Aerial View

The Planning Commission is holding a workshop on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers located at 389 Spruce Street.

The workshop is being held to study and discuss the zoning text amendment to the Planning and Zoning Code concerning Coffee/Tea Shop uses.  This amendment would introduce guidelines for coffee/tea shop uses to be added into the city’s land use policies.

A study will also be conducted on the contemplated zoning map adjustments following the Monongalia County Assessor’s digitized cadastral spatial data. Digitization of the county’s parcel data caused the skewing of zoning maps. Adjustments have been made to counteract the change in these maps.

Workshops are open to the public and are intended to serve as training, study, and public education. All are welcome to attend.
