Beverly Avenue Project

Beverly Ave Project - Phase 3A

Project Update - May 23, 2019

The Green River Group will be continuing work on Alley D working from 6th Street towards 5th Street. The crews work will not affect traffic at all besides possibly temporarily blocking a few parking spots at the very back of Alley D as they install storm sewer in the Alley up to 5th Street.

A second crew is currently working up 5th Street towards Beverly Avenue. The crew plans to be at the top of Beverly by Friday, May 24th and will close one lane of Beverly from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to install a storm inlet at the top of 5th Street.

Green River Group plans to close a 100 foot section of Beverly Avenue on Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, May 29th at the top of 5th Street from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to install storm sewer across Beverly. The trench will be plated as necessary to allow vehicles through.

One lane of Beverly Avenue will be closed from 5th Street towards 6th Street from Thursday, May 30th - Friday, May 31st

Beginning March 11, construction will begin on Beverly Avenue and Beverly Alleyway. The expected substantial completion date for this phase of the project is August 9. These dates are dependent on weather and unforseen conditions. As the construction begins, we will try to reduce the impact to residents in the area; however, parking and traffic will be affected. We will update this page frequently with project information including parking and road closures. You can also sign-up by clicking the Beverly Ave Project Alerts title on the right to receive text and email notifications about upcoming parking restrictions, traffic restrictions (i.e. possible changes to one-direction traffic), pedestrian detours and full road closures.

This construction project includes Beverly Avenue, 4th Street, Beverly Alleyway, and the 5th Street Right-of-way between 3rd Street and 6th Street. This streetscape project includes widening and repaving of the roadway, stormwater upgrades, sidewalks and ADA curb ramps, lighting, retaining walls, and dumpster enclosures.
