Sealed Bids for the construction of the MET THEATER HVAC IMPROVEMENTS, BID CALL 2023-02 will be received, by THE CITY OF MORGANTOWN, at the office of the FINANCE DIRECTOR in the City Municipal Building at 430 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505 until 2:00 P.M. local time on August 17, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project consists of replacement of an air cooled chiller and installation of new condensing hot water boilers, as described in the bid documents.
A two-envelope system will be used. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope No. 1 must contain the Bid Bond, Power of Attorney, and all other necessary documents required on the Bid Opening Checklist. Envelope No. 2 must be a separate, sealed envelope marked "Bid Proposal" and must contain the completed and signed Bid Proposal. If the envelope #1 documents are not in order, the envelope containing the Bid Proposal will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. Both envelopes must have the following information in the lower left-hand corner.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m (call prior to ensure staff is present), or on the City’s website http://morgantownwv.gov/bids.aspx. Copies of the Bidding Documents are available from Miller Engineering, Inc. Office as described below. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from Miller Engineering, Inc, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $55.00 for each digital copy on media for CD or $95.00 for each paper set, plus shipping. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Miller Engineering, Inc.” Upon request and receipt of the document fee indicated above including the shipping fee for paper sets, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 A.M. local time on August 3, 2022, at the Met Theater 371 High Street, Morgantown, WV.
