Timeline for Outside Agency Budget Request Changes
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Beginning Nov. 15, the City of Morgantown Finance Department will be accepting allocation requests from local nonprofit agencies for inclusion in the city's 2023 Fiscal Year Budget. Allocation request packets are available from the Finance Department or City Manager's office.
Agencies must submit their request to the Finance Department no later than 5 p.m. on Dec. 16. Approved agencies will be asked to present their requests to Morgantown City Council at its Committee of the Whole on Jan. 25, 2022. Requests will then be finalized and included in the city's capital budget.
Priority will be given to those who have submitted agency budget requests in the past. These requests are for nonprofit agencies providing a service or product for the community that needs funding. Not all applications will be approved due to limited funding.
