Action Items:

  • PROHIBITING CONVERSION THERAPY IN MORGANTOWN
At the recommendation of the Morgantown Human Rights Commission, Council approved of an ordinance that prohibits the practice of conversion therapy with a minor under the age of 18 by any medical or mental health professional in city limits.

Second Reading. Passed 7-0.
  • WORKING WITH THE STATE DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS IN PREPARATIONS FOR THE REALIGNMENT OF CAMPUS DRIVE
At the request of the West Virginia Division of Highways, Council approved two agreements with the WVDOH for its project to realign a section of Campus Drive to improve the intersection with Beechurst Avenue and for the ongoing maintenance, upkeep and repair of the sidewalks, retaining wall and railing, street lighting, and landscaping along Campus Drive following completion of the project. The project is being funded for and completed by the WVDOH.
