- USING HAZARD CLASSIFICATIONS TO ASSESS FIRE FEES
At the recommendation of the Fire Chief and Interim City Manger, the proposed changes
to city ordinance 747.02 dealing with Fire Service Fees would incorporate hazard classifications to assess fire fees. This would mean that a multiplier based on a locations risk assessment would be used along with the standard rates and square footage to determine fire fees.
- FORMALLY ADOPTING CHANGES TO THE WARD BOUNDARIES
At the recommendation of the Ward and Boundary Commission, and per the city charter, this ordinance
would amend Article 103 by updating the text in the Article to match the recent changes to the Ward Boundaries. The changes were approved by the Ward and Boundary Commission during its Sept. 10, 2020 public meeting and were approved by Morgantown City Council at its Oct. 6 public meeting.
- CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE SEVENTH WARD
At the recommendation of the Planning Commission, and at the request of the property owner, this ordinance
would reclassify 424 Evans Street from O1 (Office and Institutional) to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential). The purpose of the zoning map amendment is to create a “Dwelling, Two Family” land-use.
- PROVIDING AN UPDATE ON THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
The Interim City Manager will provide council with the monthly General Fund Budget Report
