Suspect Arrested During Burglary

At approximately 3:45 a.m. on February 6, 2019, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a reported burglary in progress at 456 Spruce Street. Officers arrived on scene and found an audible alarm sounding, alarm lights flashing and a window at the rear of the building broken.

A concerned citizen reported seeing the suspect break the window and enter the building. Officers searched the building and found the suspect inside. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. 

The suspect was identified as Samuel Durosimmie COLE, 21 years of age of Springfield, Virginia. COLE was charged with breaking and entering. COLE was not able to be processed at the time of his arrest due to his level of intoxication and belligerent behavior. He is currently being held pending processing and arraignment.
