The City Manager, Paul Brake, has chosen Angela Cline as the newest employee of the City of Morgantown. Cline will begin her role as Assistant City Manager on Monday, June 12, 2017.
Cline’s previous job at the City of Lakewood, a first ring suburb of the Denver metropolitan area, was to provide citizen outreach to the city’s 150,000 residents. The Lakewood City Government employs around 1,000 employees. During Cline’s tenure, she developed working relationships with elected officials, businesses, staff, outside agencies, and the community by managing resolutions of citizen service request, assisting with resolving complex issues, and providing alternative recommendations.
Cline holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas, the number one program in city management and urban policy by U.S. News and World Report.
“I am quite impressed with Angela’s well versed background in city management and the experience she has gained in Colorado,” said City Manager Paul Brake. “Much of her professional experience is with an organization much larger than ours and this will give her a unique insight of best, or perhaps next, practices that can be applied here in Morgantown. I am thrilled to have her here as part of my executive team.”
Cline is originally from Olathe, Kansas where public service runs deep in her family. She and her husband, Scott, will be moving here in mid-June. The City of Morgantown asks you to welcome and congratulate Angela Cline as Morgantown’s next Assistant City Manager.
