Mission
In 2007, the City of Morgantown created the Morgantown Municipal Green Team to advise the City Manager and Council on matters relating to environmental sustainability in public policy, planning, education, departmental management, and development. The team pursues initiatives that fall within the framework of the City’s current 10-year Comprehensive Plan.
Vision
The Green Team strives for a healthy, clean, and energy-efficient community that embraces the sustainable use of natural resources in order to promote a high quality of life for all residents.
Members
The Green Team comprises citizens who live, work, or spend time in the Morgantown area and have expertise, skills, and/or interest in assisting the City of Morgantown in achieving environmental sustainability. Members propose and implement special projects that advance sustainability with the team’s support and advice. The Green Team maintains a list of viable project ideas that fall within the goals and objectives of its 2017-21 long-range plan.
